pizza friday

This week at the hospital I touched a heart (while it was still beating inside the patient!) and the small intestine (while it was resting outside of the abdomen!). Pretty cool, huh? I also scrubbed in on a gastric bypass and a couple of breast biopsies, among other stuff. For the most part, I really like my job ~ although I think I would like it better if I was getting paid for it. I graduate in 5 more weeks and really hope I'll be able to find a job.

For the last couple of months, Vic & I have been celebrating the onset of the weekend with "Pizza Friday." I order the pizza (hot wings for Vic) and she picks it up on her way home from work. We usually eat while watching the Grey's Anatomy we recorded the previous night and then I fall asleep on the couch while she watches Ghost Hunters or something like that. Tonight will be no exception!

And, today is our 11-year anniversary! We're going to celebrate it tomorrow by going out to eat and then just spending the day doing nothing special. I have another big test on Monday that I have to study for and Vic is going to Canada with her mom on Sunday to visit her aunt. I'm hoping we can take a big trip for our 15th, but in the mean time we'll celebrate in small bits all summer long. There are a lot of festivals in Michigan and we're planning on attending quite a few this year!
