This weekend’s merriment centered mostly around the yard & yard stuff.
On Saturday, I finally got the swamp mowed. It’s still pretty soggy out there, but at least now the grass isn’t blocking the beautiful view of the dandelions. Saturday evening Vic made potato salad and grilled some ribs ~ delicious! The rest of the night we just relaxed.
Sunday afternoon was spent assembling our new patio swing. For some reason, Vic & I don’t work well together on “house-y projects.”Anything project that requires me to know the proper name of a tool or for Vic to actually follow the instructions turns out to be a big yellfest. Sunday was no different. I’m really not sure why either, because we get along swimmingly on long car rides and when we’re forced to shop together. Who knows! But our swing looks grand sitting on the patio. I know it can’t wait for school to be over so that I can sit on it all afternoon long. But until then, it’s found a new sitting buddy.

Aww, so cute. Nice swing. Our neighbors across the street have one like it in the front yard. I can look out my bedroom window in the morning and gauge the wind by seeing how much the canopy is flapping.
