"You're Never Too Old To Learn To Something New"

For the last month or so I've been wrestling with the idea of whether or not I should go back to school. With Vic's help I finally decided to make a go of it...again. I enrolled in classes for the Fall quarter and am going to pursue a degree as a Surgical Technician, which will hopefully lead to a degree (down the road) as an RN. I just don't think I want to spend the rest of my working-life as a dispatcher and my job at the PD, although secure now, isn't 100% secure for the next 10 years or so of my future. I think a career in the medical field is pretty much a sure bet ~ I like the idea of being able to get an RN position just about anywhere in the country and I also like the fact that eventually I'll be able to make my own hours. So, next week I'll start the year & a half trek down the Surg Tech path to a brighter future. And homework. Wish me luck!
