I seem to have missed a few blogging days, so I'll include the Friday Feast along with some current events. This past week has been just perfect weather-wise! We've had highs in the low 80s and really cool evenings. Saturday was a great day for the annual Bark In the Park event at Stony Creek Metropark, so we loaded up Shannon and some of her toys, packed a light lunch and headed for Stony Creek on Saturday morning. Normally dogs are allowed in the parks, but not on the beach or in the water where the swimmers are...except for this past weekend! Shannon had an absolute blast playing ball in the water and meeting hundreds of other dogs. Everybody was really well behaved. I don't see why the parks people can't designate one beachy area of the park for dogs play at....they all seemed to love swimming and playing with their people. By the time we got home that night, Shannon was beat. I think she overdid it a little because once she laid down on the floor, she had a heck of a time getting up. She's was okay by Sunday morning, though, and helped us work in the yard a little Sunday afternoon.
Friday's Feast
Appetizer
Tell about a toy you remember from your childhood.
I had a lot of stuffed animals when I was a kid and I slept with all of them...until the night I fell out of bed, then they all ended up in a nice little basket at the end of my bed.
Soup
If you could make one thing in the world absolutely free for everyone, what would it be?
Now that I'm getting older I'd have to say health care.
Salad
Approximately how many times per day do you think about your significant other?
About 200.
Main Course
What is something you believe in 100%?
That the Reagan administration blatantly ignored the AIDS epidemic to such a staggering degree because it was a "gay disease" and indirectly caused the deaths of probably thousands of people because of their refusal to allocate funds to combat the disease. And then we renamed an airport for the bastard.
Dessert
Name one thing you have done this week that you would consider a "good deed."
I bought Vic a big cooshy pillow so she can be comfy while watching TV in bed after her surgery.
