Good News

I went to the hospital today for what I assumed would be my biopsy, but turned out to be more xrays. The radiologist determined that what was showing up on the films was some scar tissue and that a biopsy wouldn't be necessary after all. Yea! What a relief for both me & Vic.

Some friends went to Chicago for the Christmas weekend and we are babysitting while they are away. They left us their kitty, a perfect little ball of white fluff that loves to be held and snuggle with you during naptime...and they also left us their puppy. Abbie is a chocolate Lab, about 5 months old and loves to bark loudly at every fucking thing. She also inhales food, has to drag out every toy in the house, circle your feet when you walk and bounces off the walls. She won't give poor Shannon a peaceful moment. Our house isn't used to having a puppy in it. We operate more along the speed of "lay in front of the TV and don't move for hours." It's only for the weekend and we really don't mind having her, but I've gotten no sleep and I'm very cranky and right now I'd like to lock her in the basement. Lucky for Abbie, we don't have a basement. I miss my quiet solitude.
