Is everyone as excited as I am that both the Pistons AND the Red Wings are in the playoffs? I doubt it. One of the reasons we moved North was because I really really missed pro sports and now how GREAT is it that two Detroit teams are in the playoffs! Every year the city dresses up the Spirit of Detroit guy in either a Pistons or Red Wings jersey, depending on which team is in the playoffs. I guess the big guy will just have to wear a different jersey every day! Both teams finished #1 in their respective leagues and they both have an excellent chance of going all the way. If they're both crowned champions, this will be the first time EVER that the same city has had an NBA champ AND an NHL champ the same year! How exciting! Hopefully we can make it downtown to get some pics of the Spirit dude this weekend. I'll keep you all abreast of playoff developments!
