Today was a bright and sunshiney day ~ something of an anomaly for SE Michigan at this time of year. Trees are budding and birds are twittering more and more each day. The one cloud hanging over our sunny winter day is the sad passing of Vickie’s beloved Nate. Nate was 23years old. Today he was welcomed into his new home by Shannon, Sashi, Tori, and Katy ~ all who have been waiting patiently for his arrival. We knew the time to say "good bye" was near, but it's still hard. Nate was a good boy, and at 23, he could sometimes be an ornery old man! He’ll be missed by his moms, brothers, and sisters.

I'm sorry for your loss. What a gift to have him so long!
Thanks AZ. He'll be missed. Maybe you can light a little kitty candle for him?
Hi Case. Sorry to hear about Nate. I think I met him 10 years ago and he seemed like an old man back then. I always liked that he would come and sit with me and Vic would always say something like "Nate NEVER does that"
He had a cute snaggletooth, too.
My sympathies to you and Vic.
I will light one this weekend.
Tell Vickie I'm sorry and I'm thinking of her!
23 years - that must be very close to a record. He looks very much like my Dusty girl, whom we had for 18 1/2 years. That lovely silvery gray over the darker charcoal. She was lovely and he was handsome.
