Wogging

I've started running again. Well, let me ammend that a bit. Back in the days when I used to run 3 miles 7 days a week, I read in one of my running magazines that a person is a runner if they can run two 9-minute miles back to back and anything slower than that makes you a jogger. I think right now I'm a wogger; a combination of walking/jogging. I've been out to the track every once in a while since the snow melted, but nothing really consistent. But I got to thinking about how good I used to feel after my runs and how much healthier I seemed to be, so I've gotten more serious about the whole running thing. I've been wogging at the high school track every day for a week! The only day I wasn't there was when Vic & I spent the day walking around the zoo and I know I probably covered more distance that day then I do at the track. I'm starting out slow ~ I do 6 laps which is 1.5 miles. I've been timing the middle 4 laps to see how fast I can wog my mile ~ not too impressive so far, but right now my main goal is just to get out there and keep moving! With that said, I am skipping the track today to cut the grass instead. Cutting my front & back grass is definitely a pretty good workout and I'm usually pretty beat when I'm finished. Also, the All Star break is over and the Tigers are on TV tonight! So I'm looking forward to getting the grass done so I can just sit & relax for a bit before I head out to work. Go Tigers!
