Work

I had a training class today on hostage negotiations. All this really means is that I don't have to go to work tonight. Yea!! I've also been scheduled for more waste-of-time classes in April and May. Does this mean that I may not get laid off or does it mean that the police department has excess funds that they have to use up before the end of their fiscal year so they are registering their three dispatchers for every training class that comes down the pike? Well, I'll find out more regarding my job status this Monday. There is a union meeting then and they are supposed to tell us where we stand with negotiating with the city. I'm actually not that upset about it all any more. I figure if I get laid off then it'll just give me the opportunity to try something new and possibly something I'll enjoy more! Or maybe I'll win the lottery.
